A Letter to Linny

Dear Me:

What if I told you that all the worries you have crowding your mind right now will not mean anything in a couple of years? What if I told you that all the years you were being teased and bullied for being short and different would mean absolutely nothing? And what if I told you that the boys who rejected you and called you ugly would be dumbfounded once they saw how pretty you're going to grow up to be? If I were you I would:

1. Enjoy your youth and years of innocence - laugh, run, love and play as if you were that white untouchable dove.

2. Don’t let anyone tell you you're worthless

3. Follow all those dreams you had no matter how hard they seem to achieve. Dreams are supposed to scare you but with hard work and perseverance you will obtain each and one of them

4. Don’t take everything personal

5. Travel, travel, and travel

6. Don’t fall in love with the wrong person
7. Workout
8. Stop doubting yourself (Damnit!) you were built for greatness and you're brighter than     you play yourself to be

9. Block out all the negative criticism from your parents, friends, and family

10. Be you... be happy...be weird... be wildly free

11. Always lend a hand to those who need you even if it goes unnoticed.

12.  LIVE LIFE
13. Try to understand those narrowed minded individuals (they don't know any better) because not everyone is going to be accepting of you, your ideas, and your views
14. Friends come and go but keep those who are genuine close

15. Surround yourself with people who are smarter and more successful than you. This will help you work harder to get where you want to be.
16. Listen and Understand ( you're not always right, it's part of life darling!)
17. LOVE YOURSELF no body else will love you more than yourself

Much LOVE,

LINNY

2013

As a yearly tradition, I am taking this time to wish everyone a Happy New Year. Let us begin this NEW year, these 364 days, with a little bit more wisdom and positive energy. It is important to always remember that the first step to getting what you want is having the courage to get rid of what you don't.

FIND YOURSELF, FIND YOUR PASSION, and above all FIND HAPPINESS!!!!!!!

In Paulo Coelho's Manuscript Found in Accra he states "to those who say adventures are dangerous, I say try routine; that kills you far more quickly" so break the rules, take risks, break routines, and live the life you've always wanted to live!

Cheers to a HAPPY 2014!

Favorites

1. Did you read any books throughout the month?
This Is How you Loose Her by Junot Diaz
    The Hit by David Balducci

2. Have you watched any movies this month?
I've watched tons of private screenings that will be released next year.

3. What are a few beauty products you've gone bonkers about this month?
     See the Pictures below.

4. Favorite drink/food?
Starbucks Chocolate Chai Latte-- a blend of spices and chocolate that definitely brightens a gloomy fall day!

Coco Mademoiselle Eau De Parfum
This fragrance is prominent, sexy, amazing, and unique.

Murad Clarifying Wipes for blemish prone skin
OH EM GEE! These wipes are everything! I have added them to my skin care routine (has not changed) and it has helped me drastically with these acne flares i've been getting due to stress and hormonal changes.

European Wax Center Slow it Body Lotion $20.00
European Wax Center Ingrown Hair Serum $25.00
European Wax Center Slow it Body Wash $20.00

So, it is safe to say that this year has been filled with "first times" and with waxing being a first time experience I've had to take on methods to keep my skin free from ingrown hairs and also minimizing the hair growth. Let's face it, waxing is painful so the longer it takes for the hairs to come out the longer I stay away from my waxer (MAJOR PLUS). I definitely do not regret opting to waxing and tossing out the razors because the results are marvelous. IT'S BY FAR ONE OF THE BEST DECISIONS I HAVE EVER MADE!!!!!! if you haven't tried waxing, go and try it, seriously! Although it's a little painful the results are amazing and besides I wouldn't steer you the wrong way =)

The Wet Brush Detangling Brush
Tangle Teezer Detangling Brush

The Wet Brush and The Tangle Teezer are amazing! you've probably heard about all the hype on the internet and there are far way too many reviews on these items so I will spare you the time but just know these two items are AMAZING for people with curly hair.

Michael Kors Bracelet
3-Pear Shaped Bracelet I made
Michael Kors Bracelet was gifted to me for my birthday from one of my great friends and I love to pair it with this handmade pear shaped inspired bracelet I created.

Michael Kors Lexington Chronograph
Gold Chain bracelet i made
Gold Fishtail Bracelet I made

Lancome XL Cils Booster $24.00
YSL Faux Cils Mascara $30.00
Garnier Skin Renew Anti-Dark Circle Eye Roller  $12.00
CVS Eye Makeup Remover $5.99
THIS IS ANOTHER "OMG" PRODUCT!!!!! This Lancome XL Cils Booster has became a holy grail; it elongates your eyelashes and makes them look like falsies all while adding protection. Ever since I started using Mascara I disregarded the fact that my eyelashes were "hairs" and required TLC. So if you're looking for a product that conditions and adds drama to your lashes GO OUT AND GET IT AND YOU'LL THANK ME LATER, promise!

YSL Faux Cils (Original) mascara is amazing. It gives you that false lash effect which every girl yearns for when purchasing a mascara tube. Of course the price is absurd but I haven't found anything comparable.

Garnier Skin Renew Anti-Dark Circle Eye Roller (tinted) has been a holy grail for years.

SmashBox Camera Ready CC Cream $42.00
It's light, effective, and looks flawless on the skin once applied and set lightly with a powder. It has an SPF of 30 and corrects blemishes. I wouldn't suggest applying this product with your fingers; however, I love stippling it on and blending it out with a brush then setting it with a powder like I previously mentioned. REMEMBER, a little goes a long way .

Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay $7.99
Along with the Murad Clarifying Wipes this has been helping me with my acne. It has helped me tremendously with the excess amount of oil that my face produces along with minimizing my pores. You can use this miracle all over your body or just on problem areas. IT'S AMAZINGGGGGG!
